For this project i chose the song Money Trees by Kendrick Lamar for inspiration. This is my favorite song by Kendrick because it basically describes every mans dream. Kendrick is one of my favorite artists in the hip hop world so when we were told to pick a song I had to pick the one that had the most impact on my thoughts.

For this project i wanted to insert myself at a concert singing with my favorite artist Kanye West. In this picture you can see Kanye seeing himself through my eyes, he likes to say that I'm his young prodigy.

For this project i wanted to draw the frog with wings flying over a range of mountains. This project was very hard to work with because it required a lot of precision when copying the original picture. It was really fun to work especially since i was able to add any artistic ideas I had for the picture.

Logo Critiques

Microsoft uses a mechanical technique when they were creating their logo. They use straight lines and sharp edges to convey a sort of technological approach to their look. Their use of a flag-like look is used to convey their message of being a diverse company there to serve a diverse group of people and to portray their diverse portfolio of products. The logo is recognizable everywhere and I'm sure their goal was to do just that. Their logo is a flag for their company making Microsoft a sort of country. For the logotype (Microsoft) they are using the Segoe font which, according to the General Manager of Microsoft, is the same font they have used for their past products and the symbol is a key component in the world of digital motion. I like their use of multiple colors because it gives a sort of vibrant and happy feeling when you look at the logo. The message behind the logo makes you understand why the different colors are used. Apple uses a very sleek approach to its logo. The logo which is basically an apple with a bite into it. The logo is simple because Apple's goal was to have a logo that as very simple and was able to be recognized without having to think about the design. I really like their approach on this because sometimes when a logo has too much then it is hard to remember  that specific design. In the end i like the Microsoft logo much better because the logo conveys such a greater message for their company.

Icon Project Idea

1. A website that specializes in selling all types of shoes at a low price. The name of the company is PrimePack. 
2. A company that creates portable heart monitors for those with heart problems. The thing that separates this company from other heart monitoring companies is that we create fashionable heart monitors such as a gold encrusted wristwatch, pearl necklaces, silver bracelets, etc. The company is called SwagAlert.
3. A company that specializes in creating jellyfish nets for those who enjoy the fine sport of jellyfishing. The name of the company is Filet'OJelly.
4. A ghost busting company that will have a large number of specialists on site whom you can order whenever a person believes that supernatural beings are in their home. The person or family can order a group online on our website www.catchthatghost.net. The company's name will be GhostGang.
5. An online company who will specialize in creating vacation packages for young adults. 

Starter

Jonathan Letang is a normal guy from Boston who came all the way down to Tampa in order to escape the freezing winters of the North. Jonathan is a Biology/pre-med major, who plays basketball and soccer on his free time. Jonathan used to live in South Haiti before moving to Boston. Jonathan spent 11 years living in Haiti before his parents decided to send him to live with his family in Boston. Jonathan has not had that many art classes growing, so he hopes this class will offer him a view of the art world.  (picture--- Beach in Haiti)
